Driving from Ponty to Gloucester yesterday I got 62.8 mpg. 57.9 on the way back thanks to congestion, but still… Nice numbers.

I bloody hate .htaccess files and regular expressions.
http://is.gd/4Csk4 I love that my Christian friends are there due to bacon =)
GEEKS! Don’t just chuckle at the GeoCities appearance of xkcd today. Check out the page source for more geek lols!
Impossible. Nos da pawb.
Visited the new Cardiff Apple Store today. IT’S A CULT, PEOPLE! Didn’t like the iPhone keyboard either.

I guess, given the amount of capability it has together with its storage and stability as a company, Tumblr is where I’m heading to.
Providing support for a game we wrote 6 years ago. The educational software market has an enormously long shelf life.
RT @Foomandoonian: #JanMoir unrepentant: ‘I’m sorry YOU were upset’, basically: http://bit.ly/1q02FQ (via @channel4news)
I spent this evening fixing my Larson Scanner and building a (working) 5v power supply. Oh, and avoiding seeing a gurning fascist on the TV.
I have bitten the wax tadpole.
Investimagating Appcelerator Titanium Desktop. Hmmm. http://bit.ly/s4xDX
Done a temporary fix on my @emsl Larson Scanner. Ground line to LED broken, so I’ve connected to another spot. Will solder tomorrow!

Some work on fiddling with Spotify via AutoHotkey
Heh. It’s ugly, but my Spotify advert silencer works perfectly. No more bloody Voicemail adverts, and no tenner a month to pay.
Geek Cluster, in the Otley: epic win. Thanks everyone for an excellent evening!
Near Pontypridd? Have geeky tendencies? Then head to the Otley for Geek Cluster from 8pm… Tonight!
Apparently Apple have announced some new products or something. And - yes! - the world keeps turning! Thank you Steve Jobs!
Cardiff Festival of Creative Technology - http://is.gd/4szeB - has a Micro Maker Faire. Would’ve been good if it’d been advertised one iota.
Debugging my @emsl Larson Scanner kit with a circuit diagram and a paperclip. The signal’s getting lost between ATtiny and LED 3…
Just been leafing through the BNP membership list. Still two in Ponty. Glad I fled Gloucester back in the day, too many members in the area.
Got this running in the corner of my desktop. Does a Sugar Puffs scented wee-wee over ALL laser shows: http://vimeo.com/7001138 (via @make)
One BSOD and one lock-up in the space of 15 minutes. Thanks, Vista.
There we go. Flash CS3 Video Encoder won’t work under Vista, at least on this box. My old XP box is doing the conversion instead.
One more crash, Vista is now CHKDSKing away (scary list of errors found). Right this second I’d be more productive on BeOS.
Video encoding on new PC is a good six or seven times faster than the old one. *dances happy dance*
Going to try making the circuit that burnt my finger on a breadboard this evening. Try and figure out where I went wrong.
burnt my finger badly on an overheating (shorted circuit) 7805 voltage regulator. Maybe I’m not up to this electronics lark… =(
finally bought a new printer. The last three have been hand-me-downs. The last one I bought was a Panasonic 9-pin in 1991.

.@charltonbrooker Jan Moir’s apology is actually phrased more like an excuse offered by a teenage boy caught wanking in his sister’s clothes
Struggling with CSS. Why so hard?
Also, I now realise how utterly excellent Firebug is in Firefox!
What I now know about CSS: padding goes inside an element, margin goes outside an element. Komodo Edit bloated but excellent.
… ah, I’d made a rod for my own back, as they say.
Jan Moir is offensively unpleasant and so suits the Daily Mail to a tee. Stephen Gately died of being gay, apparently… http://bit.ly/KDm1d
Ian at Holborn tube station is a vicious little turd. Hey, Londoners! Go there, tell him that on behalf of the internet! http://is.gd/4mfsa

Was getting on OK with Vista until I discovered how atrocious its sound mixer is. It stinks! Can’t plug a device into line-in and hear it!
Opened up the Barbie karaoke machine to have a look and see what I’ve got to work with inside. All nice big through-hole components, yay!
